Northern Lights Restoration was invited to Lake Placid Lodge, a Relais & Chateaux and Opal Collection property, for a room-by-room restoration project. This rustic luxury retreat boasts seventeen log cabins and thirteen suites, each uniquely designed in the tramp art style by a different artisan. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, these accommodations offer a truly one-of-a-kind experience, complete with wood-burning fireplaces and breathtaking lake views.
Our team restored numerous pieces at the Lodge, including handcrafted room furniture, treasured English antiques, and unique live-edge minibars. We particularly enjoyed restoring a magnificent fourteen-foot live-edge ash dining table, bringing it back to its former glory. It was a pleasure working on such a unique collection of handcrafted pieces, each with a story to tell.
