The Sanctuary contracted Northern Lights Restoration for on-site furniture refinishing services in January 2019. We completed work on all 255 guestrooms and the entirety of the grand lobby furniture over the course of three weeks.
The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island is a Five-Star, Five-Diamond oceanfront resort near Charleston, boasting 255 luxurious guestrooms in a grand seaside mansion style. Opened in 2004, it offers guests 10 miles of private beach, extensive trails, and five championship golf courses, including those that have hosted the Ryder Cup and PGA Championship. Its design thoughtfully incorporates mature trees and elevated views, while the interior features elegant hand-planked walnut floors and hand-painted murals, creating a historic Southern ambiance.
