Northern Lights Restoration was initially contracted by French Lick Resort to refinish 60 armoires. Impressed by the quality of our work, the resort expanded the project, entrusting our skilled team to revitalize over 4,300 pieces of furniture throughout the entire property. This comprehensive restoration included all guestroom furniture, lobby and public area furnishings, as well as pieces in their spas, restaurants, and clubhouses. Our projects even included bringing new life to unique historic elements, such as a bar frequented and branded by Al Capone and a grand 24K gold-leaf table once owned by Liberace. With this multi-year project completed, we will now return annually to provide our maintenance program to keep all furnishings up to quality standards.

In Indiana’s rolling hills, the French Lick Springs Hotel stands as a beautiful example of past luxury. Established in 1845, it first gained fame as a mineral spring health spa, drawing fashionable and wealthy guests who sought the purported healing powers of its waters. Over the centuries, especially under Indianapolis politician Thomas Taggart’s ownership in the early 1900s, the hotel saw significant building expansions and the addition of two golf courses. However, after a period of decline and eventual closure, the Cook Family acquired the property in the early 2000s. They undertook a multi-million-dollar restoration, which included opening a casino and the Pete Dye golf course, transforming it into the iconic four-star, four-diamond resort it is today.
