Northern Lights Restoration was invited to Jekyll Island Club Resort to refinish the historic, five-story original antique staircase. This included all the hand-turned rope spindles, solid oak handrails, Newell posts, stair treads, risers, wainscoting, and tongue & groove ceiling panels. Additionally, we refinished all guestroom furniture across 157 historic rooms in the main hotel and mansion cottages, along with all the lobby furnishings.

A AAA Four-Diamond oceanside beach resort, Jekyll Island Club Resort evokes the Gilded Age with distinct Southern charm. It offers 157 guest rooms and suites, including the three historic mansion-turned-cottages. The island’s history dates to 1879 as an exclusive hunting club, which the Jekyll Island Club acquired in 1886, opening it in 1888 as a sanctuary for the nation’s elite. Guest residences like The Clubhouse and The Annex were added in 1896 and 1901. The early 1900s saw prominent families—including the Rockefellers, Morgans, and Vanderbilts—build their lavish mansions here.
